Decisions

From a goldfish pond creatures beg,
Scattered shells of robin's egg,
Jade in color against the grass,
The Scarlett Letter now would pass
Decision slow, but won't renege

Niagara Falls

Orange you glad you found me here?

Can’t stop dancing under the moon,

Turn up music, for all to hear

Niagara Falls, month of June.

Sky opens to a water flow

Black widow spins a web in tune

Glistening with a soft warm glow

Niagara Falls, month of June.

"It takes two to tango" he said,

"Let's rendezvous here, very soon"

Dragon fly sheets on unmade bed

Niagara Falls, month of June.

Have you ever heard of the curse of the dragonfly?

Bluebird Speaks

The sun is just rising above

A quaint mountain town called Love

Mother feeds the squawking babies from her mouth

Grub worms pilfered from rotting stump; home of the cottonmouth

Sunshine glimmers through clouds like strings from a cello

Illuminating the rainforest with a splash of yellow,

Spongey moss covers the forest floor

Tall redwood trees guard the evergreen door

After the baby sweater was buried in the ground

A stone with the word Pearl was all to be found

Leaving alone the woman in the Victorian mansion

Sipping Earl Grey tea on her back porch expansion.

I am currently participating in the A-Z blogging challenge and one of my fellow bloggers posted a challenge to write a poem for her D post.  I took the challenge and was quite pleased with the outcome.  What do you think?  "Am I a poet and didn't know it?"
