Mid-life Crisis

She looks in the mirror every day
At the life she’s stole to make her way

She fills her life up with things
Precious gems in golden rings

Surrounds herself with lots of friends
Expands on all the global trends

One car to drive just won’t do
Her choice of three, not just two

When one mentions of her façade
She goes into a long tirade

Arrogance won't admit to wrong
It dances to it's own sad song

She takes what she wants from her friends,
Lies, cheats, deceives without amends.

Dining out is her past time
Frequently, not on her dime

A flight to Paris or to Rome
She goes to get a way from home.

College courses earns her degrees
Filling her life with luxuries

Running from life she can’t face
She's just caught up in the rat race

Life crammed full of so much stuff
It will never be quite enough.

She’ll strive always to be what she’s not
‘Till she takes the free gift Christ has bought.
